What is ruby-ami

ruby-ami is:

RubyAMI is an Asterisk Management Interface client library in Ruby built on Celluloid IO and based on EventMachine providing a connection to the Asterisk Manager Interface. RubyAMI is a low level library; it does not provide any features beyond connection management and protocol parsing. Actions are sent over the wire, and responses are returned. Events are passed to a callback you define. It’s up to you to match these up into something useful. In this regard, RubyAMI is very similar to Blather for XMPP or Punchblock, the Ruby 3PCC library.

There are three methods to install ruby-ami on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-ami Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-ami using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-ami

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-ami using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install ruby-ami

Install ruby-ami Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-ami using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ruby-ami

How To Uninstall ruby-ami on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the ruby-ami package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ruby-ami

Uninstall ruby-ami And Its Dependencies

To uninstall ruby-ami and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-ami

Remove ruby-ami Configurations and Data

To remove ruby-ami configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-ami

Remove ruby-ami configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove ruby-ami configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
