What is python3-pysocks
A fork of SocksiPy with bug fixes and extra features. Acts as a drop-in replacement to the socket module. Featuring - SOCKS proxy client for Python 2.6 - 3.x - TCP and UDP both supported - HTTP proxy client included but not supported or recommended (you should use urllib2’s or requests’ own HTTP proxy interface) - urllib2 handler included.
We can use yum or dnf to install python3-pysocks on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install python3-pysocks.
Install python3-pysocks on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install python3-pysocks using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install python3-pysocks
Install python3-pysocks on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install python3-pysocks using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install python3-pysocks
How To Uninstall python3-pysocks on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the python3-pysocks package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove python3-pysocks
