What is python3-ironic-inspector-client
python3-ironic-inspector-client is:
This is an auxiliary service for discovering hardware properties for a node managed by OpenStack Ironic. Hardware introspection or hardware properties discovery is a process of getting hardware parameters required for scheduling from a bare metal node, given it’s power management credentials (e.g. IPMI address, user name and password).
A special discovery ramdisk is required to collect the information on a node. The default one can be built using diskimage-builder and ironic-inspector-ramdisk element.
This package contains the Python 3.x module.
There are three methods to install python3-ironic-inspector-client on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python3-ironic-inspector-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-ironic-inspector-client using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python3-ironic-inspector-client
Install python3-ironic-inspector-client Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-ironic-inspector-client using apt by running the following command:

Install python3-ironic-inspector-client Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

We can use the following command to remove python3-ironic-inspector-client configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python3-ironic-inspector-client
