How To Install python-zaqar on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-zaqar
python-zaqar is:
Zaqar is a multi-tenant cloud messaging service for web developers. It combines the ideas pioneered by Amazon’s SQS product with additional semantics to support event broadcasting.
The service features a fully RESTful API, which developers can use to send messages between various components of their SaaS and mobile applications, by using a variety of communication patterns. Underlying this API is an efficient messaging engine designed with scalability and security in mind.
Other OpenStack components can integrate with Zaqar to surface events to end users and to communicate with guest agents that run in the “over-cloud” layer. Cloud operators can leverage Zaqar to provide equivalents of SQS and SNS to their customers.
By installing python-zaqarclient you get programmatic access to the Zaqar v1.0 API library. Plus, it installs a plugin to python-openstackclient that allows you to perform simple queue operations.
This package contains the Python libraries that are part of Zaqar.
There are three methods to install python-zaqar on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-zaqar Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-zaqar using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-zaqar
Install python-zaqar Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-zaqar using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-zaqar
Install python-zaqar Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-zaqar using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-zaqar
How To Uninstall python-zaqar on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-zaqar package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-zaqar
Uninstall python-zaqar And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-zaqar and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-zaqar
Remove python-zaqar Configurations and Data
To remove python-zaqar configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-zaqar
Remove python-zaqar configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-zaqar configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-zaqar
