What is python-willow

python-willow is:

Willow is a simple image library that combines the APIs of Pillow, Wand and OpenCV. It converts the image between the libraries when necessary.

Willow currently has basic resize and crop operations, face and feature detection and animated GIF support. New operations and library integrations can also be easily implemented.

This is the Python 2 version of the package.

There are three methods to install python-willow on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-willow Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

To uninstall only the python-willow package we can use the following command:

To uninstall python-willow and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-willow

Remove python-willow Configurations and Data

To remove python-willow configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge python-willow
