What is python-pypowervm
python-pypowervm is:
PowerVM, formerly known as Advanced Power Virtualization (APV), is a chargeable feature of IBM POWER6, POWER7 and POWER8 servers and is required for support of micro-partitions and other advanced features. Support is provided for IBM i, AIX and Linux. This Python module is a REST client for the PowerVM API.
This package contains the Python 2.7 module.
There are three methods to install python-pypowervm
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install python-pypowervm Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-pypowervm
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install python-pypowervm

using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-pypowervm

Install python-pypowervm Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-pypowervm
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-pypowervm
How To Uninstall python-pypowervm on Debian 10
To uninstall only the python-pypowervm
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-pypowervm
Uninstall python-pypowervm And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-pypowervm
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-pypowervm
