This package contains a Python library for generating and verifying one-time passwords. It can be used to implement two-factor (2FA) or multi-factor (MFA) authentication methods in web applications and in other systems that require users to log in.

This package contains the Python 2 version of pyotp.
There are three methods to install python-pyotp on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-pyotp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-pyotp using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-pyotp
