What is python-polib

python-polib is:

polib allows you to manipulate, create, modify gettext files (pot, po and mo files). You can load existing files, iterate through it’s entries, add, modify entries, comments or metadata, etc… or create new po files from scratch.

This package installs the library for Python 2.

There are three methods to install python-polib on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-polib Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python-polib using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install python-polib

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install python-polib using apt by running the following command:
