How To Install python-pecan on Debian 9

What is python-pecan
python-pecan is:
The Pecan Python module is a WSGI object-dispatching web framework designed to be lean and fast with few dependencies. Pecan comes bundled with a lightweight WSGI development server based on Python’s wsgiref.simpleserver. Pecan applications also come with an interactive Python shell which can be used to execute expressions in an environment very similar to the one your application runs in (using the “pecan shell” command).
WSGI is the “Web Server Gateway Interface”. It defines a simple and universal interface between web servers and web applications or frameworks for the Python programming language.
This package contains the Python 2.x module.
There are three methods to install python-pecan
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-pecan Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-pecan
using apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install python-pecan
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-pecan
How To Uninstall python-pecan on Debian 9
To uninstall only the python-pecan
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-pecan
Uninstall python-pecan And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-pecan
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-pecan
Remove python-pecan Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
