What is python-nova
python-nova is:
OpenStack is a reliable cloud infrastructure. Its mission is to produce the ubiquitous cloud computing platform that will meet the needs of public and private cloud providers regardless of size, by being simple to implement and massively scalable.
OpenStack Compute, codenamed Nova, is a cloud computing fabric controller designed to be modular and easy to extend and adapt. In addition to its “native” OpenStack API, it also supports the Amazon EC2 API, and it supports many different database backends (including SQLite, MySQL, and PostgreSQL), hypervisors (KVM, Xen), and user directory systems (LDAP, SQL).
This package contains the core Python parts of Nova.
There are three methods to install python-nova
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-nova Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-nova
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install python-nova

After updating apt database, We can install python-nova

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install python-nova
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-nova
How To Uninstall python-nova on Debian 9
To uninstall only the python-nova
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-nova
Uninstall python-nova And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-nova
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-nova
Remove python-nova Configurations and Data
To remove python-nova
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-nova
Remove python-nova configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-nova
