How To Install python-mpmath on Ubuntu 18.04

python-mpmath is:
Mpmath is a pure-Python library for multiprecision floating-point arithmetic. It provides an extensive set of transcendental functions, unlimited exponent sizes, complex numbers, interval arithmetic, numerical integration and differentiation, root-finding, linear algebra, and much more. Almost any calculation can be performed just as well at 10-digit or 1000-digit precision, and in many cases mpmath implements asymptotically fast algorithms that scale well for extremely high precision work.
If available, mpmath will (optionally) use gmpy to speed up high precision operations. If matplotlib is available, mpmath also provides a convenient plotting interface.
Its features include:

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install python-mpmath using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-mpmath
How To Uninstall python-mpmath on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-mpmath package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-mpmath
Uninstall python-mpmath And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-mpmath and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-mpmath
Remove python-mpmath Configurations and Data
To remove python-mpmath configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-mpmath
Remove python-mpmath configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
