What is python-ironic-inspector
python-ironic-inspector is:
This is an auxiliary service for discovering hardware properties for a node managed by OpenStack Ironic. Hardware introspection or hardware properties discovery is a process of getting hardware parameters required for scheduling from a bare metal node, given it’s power management credentials (e.g. IPMI address, user name and password).
A special discovery ramdisk is required to collect the information on a node. The default one can be built using diskimage-builder and ironic-inspector-ramdisk element.
This package contains the Python 2.7 files.
There are three methods to install python-ironic-inspector
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-ironic-inspector Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-ironic-inspector
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-ironic-inspector
Install python-ironic-inspector Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-ironic-inspector
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-ironic-inspector
Install python-ironic-inspector Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-ironic-inspector
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-ironic-inspector
How To Uninstall python-ironic-inspector on Debian 9
To uninstall only the python-ironic-inspector
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-ironic-inspector
Uninstall python-ironic-inspector And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-ironic-inspector
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-ironic-inspector
Remove python-ironic-inspector Configurations and Data
To remove python-ironic-inspector
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-ironic-inspector
Remove python-ironic-inspector configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-ironic-inspector
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-ironic-inspector
