How To Install python-dmidecode on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-dmidecode
python-dmidecode is:
DMI (the desktop management interface) provides a standardized description of a computer’s hardware, including characteristics such as BIOS serial number and hardware connectors.
This package provides an interface to the DMI data available from the BIOS. It is intended to be used as a back-end tool by other hardware detection programs implemented in Python.
There are three methods to install python-dmidecode on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-dmidecode Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-dmidecode using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-dmidecode

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-dmidecode using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-dmidecode
Install python-dmidecode Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-dmidecode using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-dmidecode
How To Uninstall python-dmidecode on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-dmidecode package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-dmidecode
Uninstall python-dmidecode And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-dmidecode and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-dmidecode
Remove python-dmidecode Configurations and Data
To remove python-dmidecode configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-dmidecode
Remove python-dmidecode configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-dmidecode configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-dmidecode
