What is python-djoser

python-djoser is:

Djoser library provides a set of Django Rest Framework views to handle basic actions such as registration, login, logout, password reset and account activation. It works with custom user model.

Instead of reusing Django code (e.g. PasswordResetForm), it reimplementes a few things to fit better into a Single Page App architecture.

Supported authentication backends are:

  • HTTP Basic Auth (Default)
  • Token based authentication from Django Rest Framework

There are three methods to install python-djoser on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-djoser Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python-djoser using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install python-djoser

How To Uninstall python-djoser on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the python-djoser package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove python-djoser

Uninstall python-djoser And Its Dependencies

To uninstall python-djoser and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-djoser

Remove python-djoser Configurations and Data

To remove python-djoser configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge python-djoser

Remove python-djoser configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove python-djoser configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-djoser
