How To Install python-djoser on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install python-djoser
on Debian 10.
What is python-djoser
python-djoser is:
Djoser library provides a set of Django Rest Framework views to handle basic actions such as registration, login, logout, password reset and account activation. It works with custom user model.
Instead of reusing Django code (e.g. PasswordResetForm), it reimplementes a few things to fit better into a Single Page App architecture.
Supported authentication backends are:
- HTTP Basic Auth (Default)
- Token based authentication from Django Rest Framework
There are three methods to install python-djoser
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-djoser Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-djoser
using apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install python-djoser
using aptitude

How To Uninstall python-djoser on Debian 10
To uninstall only the python-djoser
package we can use the following command:
