How To Install python-cfflib on Ubuntu 18.04

What is python-cfflib
python-cfflib is:
The Connectome File Format Library (cfflib) is a Python module for multi-modal neuroimaging connectome data and metadata management and integration.
It enables single subject and multi-subject data integration for a variety of modalities, such as networks, surfaces, volumes, fiber tracks, timeseries, scripts, arbitrary data objects such as homogeneous arrays or CSV/JSON files. It relies on existing Python modules and the standard library for basic data I/O, and adds a layer of metadata annotation as tags or with structured properties to individual data objects.
There are three methods to install python-cfflib on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python-cfflib Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-cfflib using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python-cfflib
Install python-cfflib Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python-cfflib using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python-cfflib
Install python-cfflib Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python-cfflib using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python-cfflib
How To Uninstall python-cfflib on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the python-cfflib package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python-cfflib
Uninstall python-cfflib And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python-cfflib and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python-cfflib
Remove python-cfflib Configurations and Data
To remove python-cfflib configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python-cfflib
Remove python-cfflib configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python-cfflib configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python-cfflib
