python-castellan is:

The Castellan module provides a generic key manager interface so that OpenStack projects can use Barbican, but also have the flexibilty to choose an alternative Key Manager as needed. This is helpful during development, for example, where a simple implementation of the Key Manager Interface can be used instead of having to spin up a Barbican instance.

This package contains the Python 2.x module.

There are three methods to install python-castellan on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python-castellan Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python-castellan using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install python-castellan
