How To Install pinpoint on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install pinpoint on Kali Linux.
What is pinpoint
pinpoint is:
Pinpoint is a simple presentation tool that uses a plain text file as input. It supports specifying the text position, styling the text, using images or videos as background for slides, embedding commands to be run on specific slides, a speaker view window, and other nice features.
There are three methods to install pinpoint on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pinpoint Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pinpoint using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pinpointInstall pinpoint Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pinpoint using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pinpointInstall pinpoint Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pinpoint using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pinpointHow To Uninstall pinpoint on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pinpoint package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pinpointUninstall pinpoint And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pinpoint and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pinpointRemove pinpoint Configurations and Data
To remove pinpoint configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pinpointRemove pinpoint configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pinpoint configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pinpointDependencies
