How To Install phatch-cli on Debian 9

What is phatch-cli
phatch-cli is:
Phatch handles all popular image formats and can duplicate (sub)folder hierarchies. It can batch resize, rotate, apply perspective, shadows, rounded corners, … and more in minutes instead of hours or days if you do it manually. Phatch allows you to use EXIF and IPTC tags for renaming and data stamping.
This package contains command line interface to Phatch.
There are three methods to install phatch-cli
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install phatch-cli Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install phatch-cli
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install phatch-cli

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install phatch-cli
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install phatch-cli
Install phatch-cli Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install phatch-cli
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install phatch-cli
How To Uninstall phatch-cli on Debian 9
To uninstall only the phatch-cli
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove phatch-cli
Uninstall phatch-cli And Its Dependencies
To uninstall phatch-cli
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove phatch-cli
Remove phatch-cli Configurations and Data
To remove phatch-cli
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge phatch-cli
