How To Install perl-enum on Rocky Linux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-enum
on Rocky Linux 8.
What is perl-enum
This module is used to define a set of constants with ordered numeric values, similar to the enum type in the C programming language. You can also define bitmask constants, where the value assigned to each constant has exactly one bit set (e.g. 1, 2, 4, 8, etc).
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-enum
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-enum.
Install perl-enum on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-enum
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-enum
Install perl-enum on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-enum
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-enum
How To Uninstall perl-enum on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the perl-enum
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-enum
