How To Install octave-netcdf on Ubuntu 18.04

This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.
There are three methods to install octave-netcdf
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

Install octave-netcdf Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-netcdf
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install octave-netcdf
How To Uninstall octave-netcdf on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the octave-netcdf
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove octave-netcdf
Uninstall octave-netcdf And Its Dependencies
To uninstall octave-netcdf
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove octave-netcdf
Remove octave-netcdf Configurations and Data
To remove octave-netcdf
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge octave-netcdf
Remove octave-netcdf configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove octave-netcdf
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge octave-netcdf
