How To Install oath-dbg on Ubuntu 20.04

What is oath-dbg
oath-dbg is:
The OATH Toolkit makes it easy to build one-time password authentication systems. It contains shared libraries, command line tools and a PAM module. Supported technologies include the event-based HOTP algorithm (RFC4226) and the time-based TOTP algorithm (RFC6238). OATH stands for Open AuTHentication, which is the organization that specify the algorithms. For managing secret key files, the Portable Symmetric Key Container (PSKC) format described in RFC6030 is supported.
This package contains detached debugging information. Most people will not need this package. It is provided primarily to provide a backtrace with names in a debugger, this makes it somewhat easier to interpret core dumps. GDB will find this debug information automatically.
There are three methods to install oath-dbg on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install oath-dbg Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install oath-dbg using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install oath-dbg using apt by running the following command:

Install oath-dbg Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install oath-dbg using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install oath-dbg
How To Uninstall oath-dbg on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the oath-dbg package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove oath-dbg
Uninstall oath-dbg And Its Dependencies
To uninstall oath-dbg and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove oath-dbg
Remove oath-dbg Configurations and Data
To remove oath-dbg configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge oath-dbg
Remove oath-dbg configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove oath-dbg configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge oath-dbg
