What is neovim

neovim is:

Neovim is a fork of Vim focused on modern code and features, rather than running in legacy environments.

msgpack API enables structured communication to/from any programming language. Remote plugins run as co-processes that communicate with Neovim safely and asynchronously.

GUIs (or TUIs) can easily embed Neovim or communicate via TCP sockets using the discoverable msgpack API.

There are three methods to install neovim on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install neovim Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install neovim using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install neovim

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install neovim using apt by running the following command:
