The Mobile Robot Programming Toolkit (MRPT) is an extensive, cross-platform, and open source C++ library aimed to help robotics researchers to design and implement algorithms in the fields of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), computer vision, and motion planning (obstacle avoidance).
The libraries include classes for easily managing 3D(6D) geometry, probability density functions (pdfs) over many predefined variables (points and poses, landmarks, maps), Bayesian inference (Kalman filters, particle filters), image processing, path planning and obstacle avoidance, 3D visualization of all kind of maps (points, occupancy grids, landmarks,…), Graph-SLAM, Bundle Adjustment, etc. Gathering, manipulating and inspecting very large robotic datasets (Rawlogs) efficiently is another goal of MRPT, supported by several classes and applications.
The MRPT is free software and is released under the GPL.
This package provides the documentation and examples of MRPT, and the book Writing Scientific Applications with the Mobile Robot Programming Toolkit in .ps.gz format.
There are three methods to install mrpt-doc on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mrpt-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install mrpt-doc using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install mrpt-doc using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install mrpt-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mrpt-doc
How To Uninstall mrpt-doc on Debian 9
To uninstall only the mrpt-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mrpt-doc
Uninstall mrpt-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mrpt-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mrpt-doc
Remove mrpt-doc Configurations and Data
To remove mrpt-doc configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mrpt-doc
