What is `mlpack-bin`

mlpack is a C++ machine learning library with emphasis on scalability, speed, and ease-of-use. Its aim is to make machine learning possible for novice users by means of a simple, consistent API, while simultaneously exploiting C++ language features to provide maximum performance and maximum flexibility for expert users. mlpack outperforms competing machine learning libraries by large margins. This package provides the command-line executables which run mlpack methods and related documentation.

We can use yum or dnf to install mlpack-bin on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mlpack-bin.

Install mlpack-bin on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install mlpack-bin using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install mlpack-bin

Install mlpack-bin on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh
