How To Install luminance-hdr on Ubuntu 20.04

What is luminance-hdr
luminance-hdr is:
Features:
- Create an HDR file from a set of images (formats: JPEG, TIFF 8bit and 16bit, RAW) of the same scene taken at different exposure setting.
- Save and load HDR images.
- Rotate and resize HDR images.
- Tonemap HDR images.
- Copy exif data between sets of images.
Supported HDR formats:
- OpenEXR (extension: exr).
- Radiance RGBE (extension: hdr).
- Tiff formats: 16bit, 32bit (float) and LogLuv (extension: tiff).
- Raw image formats (extension: various).
- PFS native format (extension: pfs).
Supported LDR formats: JPEG, PNG, PPM, PBM, TIFF (8 bit).
There are three methods to install luminance-hdr on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install luminance-hdr Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install luminance-hdr using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install luminance-hdr

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install luminance-hdr using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install luminance-hdr
Install luminance-hdr Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install luminance-hdr using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install luminance-hdr
How To Uninstall luminance-hdr on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the luminance-hdr package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove luminance-hdr
Uninstall luminance-hdr And Its Dependencies
To uninstall luminance-hdr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove luminance-hdr
Remove luminance-hdr Configurations and Data
To remove luminance-hdr configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge luminance-hdr
Remove luminance-hdr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove luminance-hdr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge luminance-hdr
