How To Install loki-doc on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install loki-doc on Kali Linux.
What is loki-doc
loki-doc is:
Performs Markov chain Monte Carlo multipoint linkage analysis on large, complex pedigrees. The current package supports analyses on quantitative traits only, although this restriction will be lifted in later versions. Joint estimation of QTL number, position and effects uses Reversible Jump MCMC. It is also possible to perform affected only IBD sharing analyses.
Documentation on how to use Simon Heath’s “prep” and “loki” tools for MCMC genetic linkage and IBD analysis on general pedigrees.
There are three methods to install loki-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install loki-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install loki-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install loki-docInstall loki-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install loki-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install loki-docInstall loki-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install loki-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install loki-docHow To Uninstall loki-doc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the loki-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove loki-docUninstall loki-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall loki-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove loki-docRemove loki-doc Configurations and Data
To remove loki-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge loki-docRemove loki-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
