How To Install libz3-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libz3-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libz3-dev
libz3-dev is:
Z3 is a state-of-the art theorem prover from Microsoft Research. It can be used to check the satisfiability of logical formulas over one or more theories. Z3 offers a compelling match for software analysis and verification tools, since several common software constructs map directly into supported theories.
This package can be used to invoke Z3 via its C++ API.
There are three methods to install libz3-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libz3-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libz3-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libz3-devInstall libz3-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libz3-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libz3-devInstall libz3-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libz3-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libz3-devHow To Uninstall libz3-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libz3-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libz3-devUninstall libz3-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libz3-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libz3-devRemove libz3-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libz3-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libz3-devRemove libz3-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libz3-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
