How To Install libuhd-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libuhd-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libuhd-dev
libuhd-dev is:
Host library for the Universal Hardware Driver for Ettus Research products.
The supported devices provide analog radio receiver and transmitter hardware along with digital interfaces for getting signals to and from a software defined radio running on the host computer.
This package contains the header files for developing with libuhd. Doxygen generated documentation is in the uhd-host package.
There are three methods to install libuhd-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libuhd-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libuhd-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libuhd-devInstall libuhd-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libuhd-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libuhd-devInstall libuhd-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libuhd-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libuhd-devHow To Uninstall libuhd-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libuhd-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libuhd-devUninstall libuhd-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libuhd-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libuhd-devRemove libuhd-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libuhd-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libuhd-devRemove libuhd-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libuhd-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
