How To Install libtk-img on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libtk-img
libtk-img is:
Img is a package to enhance Tk by providing support for various image formats such as XPM, GIF (transparency supported, but not LZW), PNG, JPEG, TIFF, and PostScript.
The libimg library can be loaded dynamically into Tcl/Tk scripts to provide the image handling functions.
This package includes runtime libraries.
There are three methods to install libtk-img
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libtk-img Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libtk-img
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libtk-img

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libtk-img
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libtk-img
Install libtk-img Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libtk-img
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtk-img
How To Uninstall libtk-img on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libtk-img
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtk-img
Uninstall libtk-img And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libtk-img
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtk-img
Remove libtk-img Configurations and Data
To remove libtk-img
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libtk-img
Remove libtk-img configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libtk-img
