How To Install libteam-dev on Debian 12

What is libteam-dev
libteam-dev is:
Libteam provides a mechanism to team multiple NICs (ports) at OSI Layer 2 (Data link) into a single virtual NIC. The process is called “channel bonding”, “Ethernet bonding”, “channel teaming”, “link aggregation”, etc. This is already implemented in the Linux kernel by the bonding driver but unlike the bonding driver, libteam (user space) has the following additional features:
- load-balancing for LACP support
- NS/NA (IPV6) link monitoring
- port priorities and stickiness (“primary” option enhancement)
- separate per-port link monitoring setup
Libteam requires Linux kernel 3.3 or higher.
This package provides development headers.
There are three methods to install libteam-dev on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libteam-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libteam-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install libteam-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libteam-dev
How To Uninstall libteam-dev on Debian 12
To uninstall only the libteam-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libteam-dev

To uninstall libteam-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libteam-dev

To remove libteam-dev configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libteam-dev
