LibreOffice is a full-featured office productivity suite that provides a near drop-in replacement for Microsoft(R) Office.

This package used to contain the “KDE 5” integration. It was split into -kf5 (KF5 UI plugin) and -plasma (some Plasma integration). This packsge can be safely removed once installed.

There are three methods to install libreoffice-kde5 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libreoffice-kde5 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
