How To Install librdkafka-dev on Kali Linux

What is librdkafka-dev
librdkafka-dev is:
librdkafka is a C library implementation of the Apache Kafka protocol, providing Producer, Consumer and Admin clients. It was designed with message delivery reliability and high performance in mind, current figures exceed 1 million msgs/second for the producer and 3 million msgs/second for the consumer.

There are three methods to install librdkafka-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install librdkafka-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install librdkafka-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install librdkafka-devInstall librdkafka-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install librdkafka-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install librdkafka-devInstall librdkafka-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install librdkafka-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install librdkafka-devHow To Uninstall librdkafka-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the librdkafka-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove librdkafka-devUninstall librdkafka-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall librdkafka-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove librdkafka-devRemove librdkafka-dev Configurations and Data
To remove librdkafka-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge librdkafka-devRemove librdkafka-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove librdkafka-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge librdkafka-devDependencies
