How To Install libns3-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

libns3-dev is:
ns-3 is a discrete-event network simulator for Internet systems, targeted primarily for research and educational use. ns-3 is free software, licensed under the GNU GPLv2 license, and is publicly available for research, development, and use. ns-3 is intended as an eventual replacement for the popular ns-2 simulator. The project acronym “nsnam” derives historically from the concatenation of ns (network simulator) and NAM (network animator).

After updating apt database, We can install libns3-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libns3-dev

To uninstall only the libns3-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libns3-dev
Uninstall libns3-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libns3-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libns3-dev
Remove libns3-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libns3-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libns3-dev
