How To Install libjs-clipboard on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install libjs-clipboard
on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is libjs-clipboard
libjs-clipboard is:
Copying text to the clipboard shouldn’t be hard. It shouldn’t require dozens of steps to configure or hundreds of KBs to load. But most of all, it shouldn’t depend on Flash or any bloated framework.

There are three methods to install libjs-clipboard
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libjs-clipboard

Update apt database with apt

After updating apt database, We can install libjs-clipboard
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjs-clipboard
Install libjs-clipboard Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-clipboard
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install libjs-clipboard
How To Uninstall libjs-clipboard on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libjs-clipboard
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjs-clipboard
Uninstall libjs-clipboard And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libjs-clipboard
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjs-clipboard
Remove libjs-clipboard Configurations and Data
To remove libjs-clipboard
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjs-clipboard
Remove libjs-clipboard configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjs-clipboard
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libjs-clipboard
