How To Install libgnuastro9 on Ubuntu 20.04

What is libgnuastro9
libgnuastro9 is:
GNU Astronomy Utilities (Gnuastro) is a collection of programs (the
gnuastro' package) and librarires (this package along with
libgnuastro-dev’) for astronomical data analysis and manipulation. The programs can be run on the command-line for efficient and easy usage and the libraries can be used within C and C++ programs.
This package contains Gnuastro’s shared librarires.
There are three methods to install libgnuastro9
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgnuastro9 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgnuastro9
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgnuastro9

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgnuastro9
