How To Install libfann-dev on Kali Linux

What is libfann-dev
libfann-dev is:
Fast Artificial Neural Network Library is a free open source neural network library, which implements multilayer artificial neural networks in C with support for both fully connected and sparsely connected networks. Cross-platform execution in both fixed and floating point are supported. It includes a framework for easy handling of training data sets. It is easy to use, versatile, well documented, and fast.
This package contains the header files and static libraries which are needed for developing libfann applications.
There are three methods to install libfann-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libfann-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libfann-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libfann-devInstall libfann-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libfann-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libfann-devInstall libfann-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libfann-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfann-devHow To Uninstall libfann-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libfann-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libfann-devUninstall libfann-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libfann-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfann-devRemove libfann-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libfann-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfann-devRemove libfann-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
