How To Install libevdev-tools on Kali Linux

What is libevdev-tools
libevdev-tools is:
libevdev is a wrapper library for evdev devices. It provides functions covering the common tasks when dealing with evdev devices, thus avoiding erroneous ioctls and other errors.

There are three methods to install libevdev-tools
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libevdev-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libevdev-tools
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libevdev-tools

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libevdev-tools
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libevdev-tools
Install libevdev-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libevdev-tools
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libevdev-tools
How To Uninstall libevdev-tools on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libevdev-tools
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libevdev-tools
Uninstall libevdev-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libevdev-tools
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libevdev-tools
Remove libevdev-tools Configurations and Data
To remove libevdev-tools
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libevdev-tools
Remove libevdev-tools configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
