libcoda-java is:
The Common Data Access framework allows reading of scientific data from various data formats, including structured ascii, structured binary, XML, netCDF, CDF, HDF4, HDF5, GRIB, RINEX and SP3. It provides a single consistent hierarchical view on data independent of the underlying storage format.
This package contains Java files needed to use the CODA framework.
There are three methods to install libcoda-java
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcoda-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libcoda-java
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcoda-java

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libcoda-java
using apt

sudo apt -y install libcoda-java
Install libcoda-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libcoda-java
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libcoda-java
How To Uninstall libcoda-java on Debian 10
To uninstall only the libcoda-java
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libcoda-java
Uninstall libcoda-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libcoda-java
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcoda-java
Remove libcoda-java Configurations and Data
To remove libcoda-java
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libcoda-java
