How To Install libcbf-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libcbf-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libcbf-dev
libcbf-dev is:
CBFLIB is a library of ANSI-C functions providing a simple mechanism for accessing Crystallographic Binary Files (CBF files) and Image-supporting CIF (imgCIF) files. The CBFLIB API is loosely based on the CIFPARSE API for mmCIF files. CBFLIB does not perform any semantic integrity checks and simply provides functions to create, read, modify and write CBF binary data files and imgCIF ASCII data files.
This package contains libraries and header files for program development.
There are three methods to install libcbf-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcbf-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libcbf-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libcbf-dev package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libcbf-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcbf-devRemove libcbf-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libcbf-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
