How To Install libaff4-utils on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libaff4-utils
libaff4-utils is:
The Advanced Forensics File format 4 was originally designed and published in “Extending the advanced forensic format to accommodate multiple data sources, logical evidence, arbitrary information and forensic workflow” M.I. Cohen, Simson Garfinkel and Bradley Schatz, digital investigation 6 (2009) S57–S68.
The format is an open source format used for the storage of digital evidence and data.
This package contains the aff4imager program.
There are three methods to install libaff4-utils on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libaff4-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaff4-utils using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libaff4-utils using apt by running the following command:

Install libaff4-utils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaff4-utils using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaff4-utils
How To Uninstall libaff4-utils on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libaff4-utils package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaff4-utils
Uninstall libaff4-utils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaff4-utils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaff4-utils
Remove libaff4-utils Configurations and Data
To remove libaff4-utils configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaff4-utils
Remove libaff4-utils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libaff4-utils configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libaff4-utils
