How To Install lexicon on Debian 10

What is lexicon

Lexicon provides a way to manipulate DNS records on multiple DNS providers in a standardized way. Lexicon was designed to be used in automation, specifically letsencrypt.
This package installs the tool for Python 3.
There are three methods to install lexicon
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lexicon Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install lexicon
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lexicon

After updating apt database, We can install lexicon

sudo apt -y install lexicon
Install lexicon Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install lexicon

sudo aptitude -y install lexicon
How To Uninstall lexicon on Debian 10
To uninstall only the lexicon

sudo apt-get -y autoremove lexicon

sudo apt-get -y purge lexicon
