How To Install latexmk on Ubuntu 18.04

on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is latexmk
latexmk is:
Latexmk runs LaTeX the correct number of times to resolve cross references, etc; it also runs auxiliary programs (bibtex, makeindex if necessary, and dvips and/or a previewer as requested). It has a number of other useful capabilities, for example to start a previewer and then run latex whenever the source files are updated, so that the previewer gives an up-to-date view of the document.
There are three methods to install latexmk
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install latexmk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install latexmk
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install latexmk
Install latexmk Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install latexmk
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install latexmk
Install latexmk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install latexmk
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install latexmk
How To Uninstall latexmk on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the latexmk
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove latexmk
Uninstall latexmk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall latexmk
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove latexmk
Remove latexmk Configurations and Data
To remove latexmk
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge latexmk
Remove latexmk configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove latexmk
