How To Install kube-openapi on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install kube-openapi
on Debian 12.
What is kube-openapi
kube-openapi is:
Kube OpenAPI This repo is the home for Kubernetes OpenAPI discovery spec generation. The goal is to support a subset of OpenAPI features to satisfy kubernetes use-cases but implement that subset with little to no assumption about the structure of the code or routes. Thus, there should be no kubernetes specific code in this repo.
There are two main parts:
- A model generator that goes through .go files, find and generate model definitions.
- The spec generator that is responsible for dynamically generate the final OpenAPI spec using web service routes or combining other OpenAPI/Json specs. Contributing Please see CONTRIBUTING.md (CONTRIBUTING.md) for instructions on how to contribute.
There are three methods to install kube-openapi
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kube-openapi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install kube-openapi
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kube-openapi
Install kube-openapi Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install kube-openapi
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install kube-openapi
Install kube-openapi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install kube-openapi
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install kube-openapi
How To Uninstall kube-openapi on Debian 12
To uninstall only the kube-openapi
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove kube-openapi
Uninstall kube-openapi And Its Dependencies
To uninstall kube-openapi
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kube-openapi
Remove kube-openapi Configurations and Data
To remove kube-openapi
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kube-openapi
Remove kube-openapi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kube-openapi
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kube-openapi
