How To Install keepass on Rocky Linux 8

What is keepass
KeePass is a free open source password manager, which helps you to remember your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key file. You only have to remember one single master password or select the key file to unlock the whole database.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install keepass
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install keepass.
Install keepass on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install keepass
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install keepass
Install keepass on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install keepass
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install keepass
How To Uninstall keepass on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the keepass
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove keepass
