How To Install kdeedu on Ubuntu 18.04

What is kdeedu
kdeedu is:
KDE is produced by an international technology team that creates free and open source software for desktop and portable computing. Among KDE’s products are a modern desktop system for Linux and UNIX platforms, comprehensive office productivity and groupware suites and hundreds of software titles in many categories including Internet and web applications, multimedia, entertainment, educational, graphics and software development.
This metapackage includes educational applications provided with the official release of KDE.
There are three methods to install kdeedu
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kdeedu Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install kdeedu
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kdeedu
Install kdeedu Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install kdeedu
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install kdeedu
Install kdeedu Using aptitude

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kdeedu
Remove kdeedu Configurations and Data
To remove kdeedu
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kdeedu
Remove kdeedu configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kdeedu
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kdeedu
