How To Install iowatcher on Rocky Linux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install iowatcher
on Rocky Linux 8.
What is iowatcher
iowatcher generates graphs from blktrace runs to help visualize IO patterns and performance as SVG images or movies. It can plot multiple blktrace runs together, making it easy to compare the differences between different benchmark runs. You should install the iowatcher package if you need to visualize detailed information about IO patterns.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install iowatcher
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install iowatcher.
Install iowatcher on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install iowatcher
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install iowatcher
Install iowatcher on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install iowatcher
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install iowatcher
How To Uninstall iowatcher on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the iowatcher
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove iowatcher
