How To Install gstreamer1.0-pipewire on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gstreamer1.0-pipewire on Kali Linux.
What is gstreamer1.0-pipewire
gstreamer1.0-pipewire is:
PipeWire is a server and user space API to deal with multimedia pipelines. This includes:
- Making available sources of video (such as from a capture devices or application provided streams) and multiplexing this with clients.
- Accessing sources of video for consumption.
- Generating graphs for audio and video processing.
This package contains a plugin to make devices managed by the PipeWire server available as GStreamer sources and sinks.
There are three methods to install gstreamer1.0-pipewire on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gstreamer1.0-pipewire Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gstreamer1.0-pipewire using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gstreamer1.0-pipewire using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gstreamer1.0-pipewire using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gstreamer1.0-pipewireHow To Uninstall gstreamer1.0-pipewire on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gstreamer1.0-pipewire package we can use the following command:

To uninstall gstreamer1.0-pipewire and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

To remove gstreamer1.0-pipewire configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gstreamer1.0-pipewireRemove gstreamer1.0-pipewire configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
