What is fusedav

fusedav is:

fusedav is a userspace filesystem driver that allows you to mount WebDAV shares. This way you can transparently edit and manage files on a remote server.

It uses FUSE (Filesystem in USErspace), thus you need a FUSE-enabled kernel.

WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) is a set of extensions to the HTTP protocol which allows users to collaboratively edit and manage files on remote web servers.

There are three methods to install fusedav on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fusedav Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install fusedav using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install fusedav using apt by running the following command:

How To Uninstall fusedav on Ubuntu 18.04

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fusedav

Remove fusedav Configurations and Data

To remove fusedav configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge fusedav
