In this tutorial we learn how to install fernflower on Rocky Linux 8.

What is fernflower

JIdea’s decompiler is the first actually working analytical decompiler for Java and probably for a high-level programming language in general. Naturally it is still under development, please send your bug reports and improvement suggestions to the issue tracker.

We can use yum or dnf to install fernflower on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fernflower.

Install fernflower on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install fernflower using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install fernflower

Install fernflower on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install fernflower using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install fernflower

How To Uninstall fernflower on Rocky Linux 8

To uninstall only the fernflower package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove fernflower
